Introducing Aqua Boy!

30 years ago, I was working on my first books to be published. It’s a milestone I never thought about until now.

I never thought about how long I would be creating books for children. Only about making the next one better than the last.

That doesn’t mean I don’t cherish the dream of writing and illustrating indefinitely! I’m a proud dreamer. Dreams don’t always materialize, nor do they equate to concrete plans or purpose. But they hold immense significance. Surrendering a dream can be utterly devastating, so it’s crucial for all of us to learn how to cling to them for future use.

Dreams play a crucial role in shaping the creative process. They are the fuel that drives imagination and innovation. Without dreams, the world would be devoid of groundbreaking ideas and artistic expressions. Embracing and nurturing our dreams allows us to tap into our unique potential and bring forth original and impactful creations into the world.

A few years ago Astro Girl was published to wide acclaim. Its been doing well since in all the places its published. It was followed by Eco Girl and all of a sudden I had two books about global topics that young children can understand. That was a dream come true!

So it’s with enormous pride and excitement that I introduce to you the next book in the series – Aqua Boy!

This story is all about life below water and how we should be paying more attention to it. In it, young Aaron dreams about the sea and what it must be like to swim under water. His family lives on the coast so he and his parents are always on the beach, picking shells and seaweed, watching the waves and splashing around in the water. He is very curious about each thing they find.

One day he sees an octopus on the beach and Aaron finally gets to do something brave because of his new friend from the ocean.

Astro Girl (US) (UK), Eco Girl (US) (UK) are available at all cool bookstores. Aqua Boy will be in stores in the Spring. My thanks to the UK Publishers, Otter Barry Books, US publishers Candlewick, both amazing teams of people.
