Svetlana Yevgenyevna Savitskaya is a Russian cosmonaut who became the second woman in space in 1982. Later in 1984, she became the first woman to fly to space twice and the first woman to perform a spacewalk. Svetlana is also a record-breaking pilot and parachutist as well as the first space welder. She broke down barriers for women.
